Introduction
Navigation Menu allows users to categorize and subcategorize their cameras. Users can access the Navigation menu from the main toolbar by clicking on the Navigation Menu icon.
Steps to Create a New Category
To add camera groups and/or cameras first start by creating a category. To add a category for the first time there are multiple ways. Users can either click on the plus sign '+' or click on the Create Category button. A popup will appear asking the user to enter a name for the category.
Note: To create multiple categories, users can hit enter on the keyboard as a shortcut after creating the first category. The prompt will ask for the name of the category.
Steps to add Cameras to the Category
Users can add cameras to the newly created category by clicking on the 3 dots next to the category name. This opens up an options menu from which you can select the Camera option.
A new popup will appear on the screen asking the user to select and add a camera to the category.
Steps to add a Sub-Category
Users can also add a sub-category to the current category. To add a subcategory, click on the 3 dots next to the category name. This will open an options menu. The user needs to select the Category from the options.
A popup will appear asking the user to enter a name for the category.
The Sub-category will be visible under the parent category with a dot notifying it as an empty sub-category. The sub-category menu has the same options as the category menu.
Steps to add the created Categories to the Auto-Scan menu
The navigation menu gives the user the power to start Auto-Scan directly from this menu on any desired category. The user can also drag and drop the categories and the cameras from the Navigation menu to the Auto-Scan menu.
Steps to add Camera groups to the Navigation Menu
In the navigation Menu, the Users can also drag and drop the layouts from Groups Menu. To do so, open both the Navigation menu and the Groups menu on the screen.
Note: Ensure both menus are not overlapping with each other, in that case, the user will see only 1 menu on the screen. To see both menus, the user can dock the menus on the opposite side of the screen using the dock to left or dock to right option from the bar or detach the menu from the panels for free-floating mode to arrange it at any spot on screen, to do so use the detach button
.
Once both menus are visible, the user can simply drag and drop the selected layout group into any category or sub-category. The user can also organize the sequence within the Navigation menu by dragging and dropping the cameras, the layouts, the sub-categories, and the categories.
Note: To search for a camera or a layout group you can use the 'Ctrl + P' keyboard shortcut from any menu screen.
