To enable de-warping on the video portal do the following:
- Go to the Profile menu
- Select the User account
- Go to Experimental Features
- Add all the cameras for which you want to enable the de-warping feature
This configuration is unique for every user, so every user who wants to use de-warping will have to configure the list of cameras for themselves.
After the camera is added to the de-warping list as shown above you will see a new button in the camera toolbar, click on it to open de-warping mode. In the de-warping mode you will be able to use digital PTZ to navigate around the scene, just use your mouse scroll wheel to zoom in or out and click and drag to change the viewing angle.
The de-warping mode will be opened in a new tab, users can switch to the default layout mode and to the de-warping mode simply by switching the tabs.
The fisheye lens parameter can be adjusted by clicking on the fisheye adjustment in the camera toolbar of the first screen.
This will open the parameters which can be adjusted by modifying the X and Y axis to adjust the position of the center of the fisheye circle to compensate for any camera imperfections.
By default, the mounting position of the camera is assumed to be on the ceiling but if the camera is mounted on the wall you can adjust this parameter to optimize the de-warping mechanics for such a camera installation method.
The viewing angles can also be adjusted by zooming in or out using the mouse wheel and then moving the mouse by holding the mouse click to change the viewing angle. The preview panel shows you where each of the three de-warped viewing panels is set to. The different color in the circle corresponds to different viewing angles shown on the different screen panels.
