Events Menu has all the recognized list of events from the cameras which have analytics enabled.
The events menu is categorized into 3 categories "ALL", "Face Recognition" and "License Plates".
Under "ALL" users will be able to find the events related to Detected Objects, Motion Events, or Line Crossing or Intrusion events. Under the "Face Recognition" Tab users will be able to see the events related to the detection of Faces and if the system is configured with names for Faces then the names will also appear on the event with the faces. The "License Plates" tab will show all the events where the License Plates were recognized by the system.
All the Tabs have a Filter option that allows users to search for a specific event for a specific camera with a specific object or a specific person's face whose name is in the system or a specific license plate. Events can also be filtered for a specific date and time or on a date and time range.
To narrow down the search results start by selecting camera and object type or types, labeled as 1 in the screenshot below. You can select multiple cameras and multiple filters at the same time. Next, the timeframe of the events can be specified as indicated with "2". You can control the confidence cutoff limit to control the quality of the results, number "3" on the screenshot. Lastly, you can select which colors to include in the search results, as shown with "4". The Color Filter allows users to filter objects based on the color of the object in an event search.
Note: color filter works only in conjunction with at least one object type. This filter works as an "OR" filter, meaning that if there is any object that has a selected color it will be included in the search results even if this object type is not selected.
The Events from the Event Menu have multiple options which can be accessed by the 3 dots
The clip option provides the user with a preview of the event, sharing the event with anyone, an option to copy the Event ID to the clipboard or to copy the Camera ID to the clipboard.
To share the clip click on the share option. A popup will appear in which you can add a name and description, choose how long the clip will be accessible, and add password protection if needed. Clips that are not password protected can be shared for a maximum of 7 days, password protected clips can be shared for a maximum of 3 months.
Once you have selected all the details for the clip click the SHARE button. A new popup will appear with the link that you can share using your preferred messaging method. Press copy in this window to save the link to the clipboard of your computer.
Note: the platform will require some time to create the clip so the link won't be accessible immediately. On average it takes 30-60 seconds for the link to become active.
Anyone who has this link will be able to view the clip that you have shared, though only this clip will be accessible and no other information will be shared through this link. If you chose to password-protect the clip then everyone will be prompted to enter the password before the clip can be viewed. Viewers will have an option to "Download" the clip to their device for future reference.
